Martine Romero, Ed.D.

Martine was raised in Venice, California where she attended St. Mark Catholic Elementary School and Notre Dame Academy. She graduated from Gonzaga University in 2010 with her Teaching certificate and B.A. in Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education and a certificate in Organizational Leadership Studies. Martine joined St. Madeleine Sophie School in Fall 2010 as 2nd grade teacher and has fulfilled many teaching, coaching, inclusion team and administrative roles as a member of the Seraph Family. In July 2015, she finished her graduate work at The University of Notre Dame receiving her M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Leadership. Martine has been on the Executive Board for the Archdiocesan Diversified Learners Committee since 2014; and serves on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Washington. Martine transitioned to the role of Principal at St. Madeleine Sophie in 2018. Martine completed her Educational Doctorate in Leadership at Gonzaga University in 2020, and remotely serves as an adjunct teaching instructor with the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program at The University of Notre Dame.

Martine loves being a part of the St. Madeleine Sophie School community, promoting Inclusive Catholic Education, working with wonderful teachers, amazing students and dedicated families. She travels home to California as often as she can, and loves cheering on the Irish during football season, and the Zags during basketball season!
