We’re excited to announce a new academic opportunity at St. Madeleine Sophie: Spanish I for our 8th Grade students! 🎉
This fully credited course will build students’ Spanish communication skills, introduce them to the language and culture of Spanish-speaking countries, and provide a strong foundation for high school Spanish—including future honors and AP pathways.
We’re especially excited to have Señora Shaw leading the way! With degrees in Spanish and Secondary Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, 13 years of studying Spanish, experience in an 8th Grade Spanish/History immersion classroom, and time living in Spain and traveling throughout Spanish-speaking countries, she is passionate about sharing the language and culture with our students. ❤️💛
This is an exciting step forward as we continue expanding opportunities for our students and strengthening our academic program.

Introducing this school year’s theme ❤️
As we prepare to begin a new school year at St. Madeleine Sophie, we are reminded that at the heart of all we do is love. Love is woven into our Core Values, our Student Learning Expectations (SLEs), the way we learn, the way we serve, and the way we care for one another.
From the classroom to the playground, from faith to friendship, everything goes back to love. It is how we grow in wisdom, build community, live our faith, and become the people God calls us to be.
✨ “Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14 ✨
We are so glad you’re joining us, Ms. Crosby! Drop a ❤️ below to show our 1st Grade teacher some love.
Welcome, Ms. Hange! Drop a 👋🏼 below to welcome her to our Seraph Community!
At St. Madeleine Sophie, we believe great teachers don’t have to learn alone! 💙💛 That’s why every new teacher is paired with a veteran teacher – for their first two years at SMS -who provides guidance, encouragement, and support as they grow in their practice. When we invest in our teachers, our students benefit, too—because supported, confident teachers create stronger classrooms, deeper relationships, and a stronger school community. At SMS, we grow together! ✨
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Mrs. Holman, our new Pre-K teacher! 🫶🏼
Calling all Early Learning Families! 📣
All incoming Pre-K through 2nd Graders are invited to meet their teachers and classmates on August 24th from 3-4:30 at Kelsey Creek Park.
Drop a ❤️ if we’ll see you there!
Behind every teacher is a little kid who once dreamed of making a difference in the world. ✨
Today, those dreamers are busy setting up classrooms, planning lessons, and preparing their hearts (and a whole lot of coffee ☕️) for another school year.
Because at St. Madeleine Sophie, our teachers aren’t just preparing for the first day—they’re preparing to make school a magical and loving place for all your children.
Here’s to the dreamers who grew up to inspire the next generation of dreamers. ✨
Mrs. Connell, Mrs. Patterson, and Mrs. Miller attended the first day of the @archdioceseofseattle INSPIRE Conference at Seattle U today! They attended some great professional development in school culture, enrollment, admissions, leadership, and marketing! They can’t wait to bring all they’ve learned back to our Seraph community 👩🏼🏫 #lifelonglearners #inspirelikeaseraph
We’d love to see your summer adventures! Drop a photo in the comments or tell us what you’ve been up to—we can’t wait to catch up with our Seraph families! ☀️📸
