Through art, religion, and a science connection, students learned about the unique traits God gave these different animals while reflecting on how we can live these qualities in our own lives—showing courage, kindness, and care for others each day.
Faith, creativity, and curiosity all came together in this beautiful cross-curricular lesson! ✨

This week, our students continued their CRS Rice Bowl Lenten journey by hearing a story from a community in Ghana that has been supported by Catholic Relief Services. They learned how families there are creating handmade toys for their children as a way to support their learning and development.
Our Catholic Social Teaching focus was Call to Family, Community, and Participation. Students reflected on how God calls each of us to belong to communities where we support one another, share our gifts, and work together for the good of all.
Through stories like these, our Seraphs are learning that even across the world, we are connected as one human family. 💜

Yesterday, our 2nd Graders had an exciting field trip to the Seattle Aquarium as part of their science unit on aquatic biomes! 🐠🌊 Students explored marine habitats up close and connected their classroom learning to real-world ocean life.
At St. Madeleine Sophie School, it’s the people behind the classrooms, desks, and office who make our mission come alive. 💫 This is who guides, teaches, and inspires our students — every single day.
Last week, all of our students began their CRS Rice Bowl lessons — a meaningful Lenten tradition rooted in our Catholic faith. Throughout Lent, they will learn about families in Ghana, Guatemala, and Bangladesh, whose stories help us see how we are connected as one global community.
Students explored the Catholic Social Teaching principle of solidarity — recognizing that we are one human family and called to stand with our brothers and sisters around the world. They reflected on what solidarity looks like in action and created thoughtful drawings to represent their understanding.
We are proud of the compassion and faith our students are already showing this Lenten season. 💜
