🎓 Congratulations to the SMS Class of 2026! 🎓
At our 8th Grade Graduation, we celebrated a remarkable group of students and their many accomplishments.
Seven graduates earned the U.S. Department of Education’s President’s Award for Academic Excellence, recognizing their outstanding scholarship and placement among the top local scholars: Aleah, Emilia, Naia, Camila, Tyler, William, and Thomas.
Brice and Shaeley received the President’s Award for Educational Achievement, honoring their educational growth, perseverance, and academic accomplishments.
Aleah was also recognized by Holy Names Academy with Acceptance with Honors for her exceptional academic preparation and achievement.
Toloa’i earned the Edmund Rice Merit Scholarship from O’Dea High School for outstanding academic achievement, leadership, service, and personal excellence.
William was presented with the Fr. Jim Picton Seraph Award, recognizing the student who best exemplifies the spirit of welcome, inclusion, and service within our school community.

2nd graders are finishing up their novel study of Beezus and Ramona. They are working on their comprehension skills by close reading each chapter and answering challenging questions with a partner.

Kindergarten is glowing up to first grade! ✨💚 Last week, Mrs. Monks and the Kindergarten clas had a special Glow Day in their classroom. They had so much fun glowing, playing, and getting excited for all the bright adventures ahead in first grade! We are so proud of how much these kindergarteners have grown this year! 🌟
Our teachers had a little extra fun during this short week with a Secret Spirit Week! 🤫🎉
The students were definitely confused at first, but by Thursday many had finally caught on! 😂 It gave us all a few extra laughs and brought some fun energy to the week!
Field Day is tomorrow, so please don’t forget to send your child with:
💜 A shirt in their coordinating field day color
💦 A change of clothes (and shoes & a towel!) for rain or fire truck fun!
