We are so grateful to a couple of our incredible SMS parents who have become integral partners in helping our students and faculty learn about Down syndrome, and better understand how our differences make us stronger together.
The conversations and questions Mrs. Mills started last year, continued to build on one another, and it was especially exciting to see just how much our students remembered, how their understanding has deepened, and how thoughtfully they engaged in this year’s learning! Thank you to her and Mrs. Geisel for developing lessons, providing memories, and making treats and gifts!
We know inclusion doesn’t happen by accident. It’s hard fought for, and we are so grateful for the people who help us live that commitment every day. This is what it means to be a community where everyone belongs, everyone contributes, we think outside ourselves & love thy neighbor ❤️
Our pews AND our hearts were full today! It was our first Family Mass of the year and we were surrounded by so many of the people who make our SMS community so special! There is something truly beautiful about coming together in faith, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.
Today, we also celebrated the launch of our new King (and Queen!) Kindness Awards! 👑 Each week, we will recognize students who go above and beyond to authentically and consistently live out the value of kindness. These are the role models who remind us that even the smallest acts of compassion can make the biggest difference. What better way to celebrate the heart of our school community and mission…

One of our favorite days of the year! We had the joy of welcoming the Notre Dame Remick Leadership Program to SMS for one of their immersion visits!
There is something very special about bringing together two mission-driven communities who share a passion for Catholic education! We filled the day with collaboration, shared ideas, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to learn and grow from one another.

Our 8th grade Seraphs put their math skills to the test at Seattle Prep this weekend, competing against 20 teams from across the Archdiocese in a day of spooky math challenges! Relay races and graphing challenges, an escape room, and teamwork! Our students worked together, thought critically, and had a blast along the way! Even an alumni sighting at the event!
Our team finished 6th out of 20 teams! Way to go, Seraphs! We are so proud of your teamwork, problem-solving, and incredible mathematical minds!
SMS School and Parish LOVES Trunk-or-Treat!
From a Harry Potter Sorting Hat that sorted our witches and wizards by candy bar 🍫🪄 to delicious Halloween drinks courtesy of our wonderful event chair, Mrs. Molinar, there was no shortage of creativity, fun, and of course… SWEETS! A huge thank you to everyone who made our annual Trunk-or-Treat such a fun occasion!
A fun-filled Blue Friday at SMS! We loved seeing all that Seahawks spirit around campus today! It was also a bittersweet Friday as we soaked up our last moments with Mrs. Wolgamott before she heads off on maternity leave! We will miss her dearly, but we couldn’t be more excited for her and her growing family. Sending her off with so much love from her SMS family… ❤️
