🏃♀️💙 MOVEATHON 2026 is coming! 💛
Get ready for one of our favorite St. Madeleine Sophie traditions on October 8! Students will spend an hour moving around campus, earning pledges and donations while bringing together school spirit, community, and plenty of fun! 🎉
MOVEATHON is also one of our most important fundraisers, providing approximately 25% of our operating budget and helping support the programs, opportunities, resources, and experiences that make an SMS education so special.
Every student participates, and every contribution helps us reach our $50,000 goal! 🙌
💛 100% of funds raised go directly to our school.
Thank you to our families, friends, neighbors, and community supporters for helping our Seraphs MOVE for St. Madeleine Sophie School!

Curriculum Night was a wonderful evening of connection, learning, and partnership!
Parents and guardians stepped into their children’s classrooms, sat in their chairs, and got a glimpse of school through their eyes. The evening included hearing from our Parents’ Club, a special address from our principal, and time in the classrooms learning directly from teachers about the year ahead.
Thank you to all who joined us and made the evening so special! We’re grateful for the partnership of our SMS families and the role you play in helping our students thrive.
🪑 Ever wonder what school feels like from your child’s perspective? At Curriculum Night, you’ll get the chance to sit in their chair and see the classroom through their eyes!
Join us tomorrow, September 17, at 5:30 p.m. for Ready, Set, Seraph! — Curriculum Night. ✏️📚
Enjoy a hosted happy hour in the Koinonia Room, hear from school leadership and our Parents’ Club, then head into the classrooms for two 25-minute sessions to learn what your child will be learning, what to expect this year, and how we can partner together to help them thrive.
Parents & guardians only. We can’t wait to welcome you back to school! 💙💛
In Community Membership classes, students in Pre-K through 1st Grade have been practicing paying attention! They’ve learned that paying attention helps them learn, keeps them safe, and shows they care! Ask your child and see if they can tell you the three ways to show they are paying attention:
👀 are watching!
👂🏼 are listening!
🧠 is thinking!
On Friday, our school community gathered for a prayer service led by some 3rd Graders to honor and remember the lives impacted by September 11, 2001. ❤️🤍💙 We joined together in prayer, reflection, and respect as we marked the 25th anniversary.

💻 This week in Technology, our students practiced an important skill: caring for their devices! Our 1st and 2nd Graders learned how to safely carry their Chromebooks around the classroom and carefully wrap and store their computer mouse. Building good tech habits starts early! 💙
Meet our 2 new Instructional Assistants, Ms. Souza and Ms. Bower. We’re so excited to welcome these wonderful additions to our Early Learning team. They support our youngest Seraphs throughout the day—from literacy and learning centers to small groups and everything in between! When you see them on campus, be sure to say hello! 👋🏼 📚✨
All are welcome to join us for a prayer service led by our 3rd Grade class to honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11. We will gather in prayer around the flagpole at 2:45 pm before dismissal 🙏🏽
