Michaela Monks

Michaela Monks grew up in Des Moines, Washington where she attended St. Philomena Catholic School and later Holy Names Academy in Seattle. She received her bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, and Elementary Education at Gonzaga University. She previously served as the  Reading and Math Inclusion Teacher at St. Madeleine Sophie School. Michaela has been teaching Kindergarten at SMS since 2021, and is passionate about making learning opportunities enriching, evidence based, and joyful to all learners.

Michaela enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, as well as hiking, reading, drawing, and working on puzzles. She loves exploring the Pacific Northwest, and looks forward to continuing her teaching career at St. Madeleine Sophie.
