SMS Victorious @MathGames!
Billed by host, Seattle Prep, as “The most festive math event this side of the full moon!” the annual Math Games was quite the success for St. Madeleine’s! The Halloween-themed competition featured zombie eyeballs and skeleton friends, giant spiders and sticky bug-gut juice! Witches and feathers and ruby red blood drops … fun!
Catholic schools represented in force, with 176 Eighth graders from 22 different schools – it was a collection of math brainpower that nearly blew the roof off the Seattle Prep gym! The following schools brought some of the finest mathematicians to this amazing math celebration:
Seattle Nativity | St. Mary Magdalen | Our Lady of Guadalupe | St. Luke |
Our Lady of Fatima |
St. Anthony | ASB | St. Cecilia Catholic |
St. Madeleine Sophie | St. John | St. Benedict | St. Alphonsus |
Sacred Heart | St. Louise | St. Joseph | Our Lady of the Lake |
Holy Family Bilingual | Holy Family Kirkland | Holy Rosary Edmonds | Visitation STEM |
Holy Rosary W. Seattle | St. Anne |
When the dust settled, the top 3 scoring teams: St. Madeleine’s, Sacred Heart and St. John. Special shout outs to our award winners:
Teamwork: Sacred Heart
Spirit: Our Lady of Guadalupe
Holy Family Bilingual won $100 for its math department!!!
