The Mighty Seraphs!

Mascot_SMS_Tall_FullColorAs in the Bible, appearing shortly after Christmas – and, in the secular world, well in advance of Cupid on St. Valentine’s Day – our angel appeared in January of 2006.

After a student selection committee arrived at their choice of mascot, a school logo company was sent all of the research they uncovered regarding the angels called “Seraphim.”  Following a couple of rounds of “revision by committee,” our new mascot evolved and was promptly named “Sixtus.”

Not too fierce for the littlest ones, yet bold enough for our upper grades, our Seraph sports the mythical six wings (conveniently, one representing each of the first six grades of students we enrolled during our inaugural year), a shield bearing the St. Madeleine cross, and holds a staff of God’s fiery love.  The winning mascot entry was submitted by the Bendix Family and son, Brandon, Class of 2015!

All hail the St. Madeleine Sophie Mighty Seraphs!
